Biography
A FUJI 32 SHINES ON -- the feature article in Good Old Boat Magazine's July August issue -- is Susan's latest.
DISPATCHED, her nonfiction short story, is included in two anthologies, "The Simple
Touch of Fate, How the Hand of Rate Touched our Lives Forever," and "The Mystery of Fate."
WAITING IS MURDER, Susan's mystery short story, is included in the anthology, "Little
Sisters Volume 1," released late 2007 by Shannon Road Press.
Susan
is a member of Sisters In Crime, a national and international professional organization for mystery writers. She moderated
"Murder in Small Doses," a panel discussion with short story mystery writers and has participated as a moderator
for the Left Coast Crime Conference. She participates in Elderhostle Adventures in Lifelong Learning seminars titled, "Scene
of the Crime" both as a panel member and moderator.
Professional
writer Susan Lynn Kingsbury's articles have been published in CRUISING WORLD, LATITUDES AND ATTITUDES, and GOOD OLD BOAT Magazines,
The ENSIGN, WRITING ETC. and the NAWW WRITERS GUIDE, to name a few. Her two monthly columns, book reviews, member profiles
and news stories ran in the Arrowhead LOG, a local boating newsletter, for over two years. She continues to write and have
published nonfiction articles and book reviews on a regular basis.
When
she's not working on short stories, essays reviews and columns, she concentrates on her in-the-works book projects, which
include:
ON A BEAUTIFUL BEACH SOMEWHERE, a private eye mystery; TO DO THE RIGHT THING, a police procedural and
a nonfiction book; FROM A WOMAN'S POINT OF VIEW, My Husband's Love of Sailing (a collection of stories).
She was
awarded a Writing for Publication Certificate from the University of Riverside, California and holds a Masters Degree in Criminal
Justice and a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Leadership, Public Administration. Her career experience includes sixteen
years in City Government. Currently, she is a substitute teacher.
Susan
began writing for publication in 2001. She recently moved with her family to the Pacific Northwest.

As a seasoned freelancer, Susan composes articles, essays, book reviews, personal interviews/profiles and short stories,
both fiction and nonfiction. She also enjoys photography and designs her own greeting card line.

Susan is an experienced research professional, and is always searching for more
knowledge. Additionally, she has numerous years of technical writing experience, which includes presentations (both written
and presented in public forums), staff reports, press releases, ordinances and regulations.
EDITING
Susan offers editing services for most genre. She frequently reviews and critiques pieces for other writers in her
community. She's served as a judge in essay contests and participates regularly in a local writers' critique group.
